Computrace LoJack for Laptops is a software-based theft recovery service that tracks, locates and recovers stolen laptop and desktop computers.
How this service works
When a computer is protected by Computrace LoJack for Laptops Student Edition, the Computrace software installed in the computer works behind the scenes to contact our Monitoring Center. If your computer goes missing, our Theft Recovery Team uses information sent via Computrace to investigate and provide local law enforcement with the information they need to recover your computer and, potentially, prosecute thieves.
If we (Computrace) are unable to recover your computer or perform a Data Delete service, you may be eligible for a Service Guarantee of up to $1,000.
