Is your Mac® misbehaving? We can help.

The TechHub has an Apple Authorized Service Provider onsite. Bring your computer directly to the repair center counter in the Campus Store’s lower level and meet with one of our friendly and knowledgeable staff to discuss your issue(s), run diagnostics and go over your options.

Computers Under Warranty

If your computer is under warranty and there is no evidence of accidental damage, we will repair your computer for free. Apple’s Limited Warranty and AppleCare Protection Plan do not cover accidental damage like cracked screens, liquid damage, drops, dents, etc. Any repair costs associated with these repairs—even during the coverage period—will be the customer’s responsibility.

Computers Out of Warranty

If your computer is out of warranty we will provide you with a cost estimate at the time of your visit.

If the issue is more complicated and requires additional diagnostics or research, we will write a repair order with a $50 diagnostic fee and contact you within 24 hours to give you the final cost estimate. Once you approve the estimate, we aim to have your computer back to you within 48 hours. If we are able to fix your issue(s) without ordering parts you will pay between $25-$50, in addition to the $50 diagnostic fee, depending on the severity of the issue. If parts are required to fix the issue(s), we will waive the diagnostic fee and you will only be charged for parts and labor.

Between diagnostic and repair time, our goal is to have your machine returned to you within 3 business days.

Data Recovery

The TechHub and Apple are not responsible for your data. We strongly recommend regularly scheduled backups and we are more than happy to help you set that up before a repair. If you are concerned about your data and you don’t have an external hard drive, you can pick one up at the TechHub. When you purchase one from us we will create a current backup for you free of charge before your repair. If your data is already compromised and you do not have a current backup, we will do our absolute best to recover your data. When necessary in extreme cases, we partner with DriveSavers, Inc., a forensic-level recovery service that offers discounts on recovery to our customers. They will provide you with a free quote for their service, though note these services can cost upwards up $750 depending on the circumstances.

At this time, we are not authorized to repair PC’s. We are currently working toward certification with Dell® and Toshiba® so we can expand our services to meet your needs. We are also in the process of becoming authorized to do in-warranty repairs on iPhones® and Apple Watches. Stay tuned for more information!
