The UC Davis Stores makes every effort to get you the highest possible price for your USED books. It is our policy to buy every college textbook that you decide is no longer needed or wanted and for which there is a resale market.

Buyback operates on a first-come, first served basis. The bookstore buys back a predetermined quantity of titles that are being used for an upcoming quarter. When the bookstore limit is reached, a wholesale price will be offered if available.

Book Buyback Policies

  • A valid UC Davis student or staff ID will be required for all buyback transactions.
  • Limit two of the same title/ISBN can be sold in one buyback transaction per day.
  • Buyback limit of $300 per person per day.
