2024 Harvest Gunrock Extra Virgin Olive Oil Gunrock olive oil salutes our campus mascot, a Thoroughbred brought to UC Davis in 1921 to supply high-quality stock to the U.S. Army Cavalry. This fine oil was produced at UC Davis historic Wolfskill Ranch, where olives have been grown since 1842. The fruit was harvested in November 2024 with our students of the Olea Learn project and our industry collaborators. The olives were milled at 43 Ranch Olive Mill in San Ardo, Cobram Estate Olives in Woodland and at Olica Olive Oil and Mill in Yolo County’s Capay Valley. With a great combination of fruity and grassy notes this is the perfect oil to create your next culinary delight or finish a dish. Your purchase supports the UC Davis Olive Center at the Robert Mondavi Institute. The center seeks to build California’s crop of the future.
